In a declaration of its dedication to sustainable energy initiatives, Oando PLC has reiterated its commitment at the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2024.
The company made the declaration in a statement to announce its participation as a sponsor at the seventh edition of NIES 2024 in Abuja.
In line with its commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions for both current and future needs, Oando will leverage the platform to highlight its investments in renewable energy and other sustainable sources, aligning with the Nigerian government’s efforts to promote energy transition.
The five-day summit, scheduled to be held between February 26 and March 1, 2024, at the State House and International Conference Centre in Abuja, will focus on the theme, ‘Navigating the Changing Energy Landscape: Security, Transition and Finance.”
Approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), the summit aims to gather both local and international experts from various sectors of the energy industry to foster interactions and partnerships among government officials, energy stakeholders and pertinent agencies in Nigeria and throughout Africa.
During the five-day event, executives from Oando will be actively engaged in plenary sessions, showcasing new company initiatives, imparting technical knowledge and examining potential avenues for industry expansion.
NIES 2024 is expected to attract over 5,000 participants from across the continent, who together, will chart the course for a future where innovation, collaboration and resilience propel us towards a sustainable and prosperous energy landscape.
