Sir: We write with reference to the Constitution of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Article 3(j) to request the national secretariat of the Union to update her compendium of journalists in the FCT.
At the recent FCT Congress held on March 25, 2023, there were several reports that names of journalists do not tally with the numbers on the list. This has caused members to be embarrassed and denied privileges and opportunities, especially at embassies.
At a time when several institutions in Nigeria are putting their houses in order, the media severally daubed the fourth estate of the realm, and at a strategic position as the FCT, cannot afford to be seen as a disorganised and dishevelled institution.
