NFF sets Federation Cup tickets at N200, N2000 as teams feel official pitch today

El-Kanemi Warriors defeated Kebbi United in the semifinals to qualify for tomorrow’s Federation Cup final

Football fans will have to pay N200 and N2000 to watch tomorrow’s President Federation Cup finals featuring El-Kanemi of Maiduguri and Abia Warriors of Umuahia, as well as Rivers Angels and Naija Ratels, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has said.

The games will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, from 1.00 p.m.

The teams will have their official training sessions at the match venue today. 


As the ‘away’ teams on the big day, Rivers Angels and Abia Warriors have been handed the privilege to train at the match time. For this reason, Rivers Angels will train from 1.00 p.m. (which is the time the women’s final will kick off), while the ‘home’ team, Naija Ratels, will train from 2.00 pm. 

In the men’s draw, ‘away’ team, Abia Warriors, will train from 4.00 p.m. (which is the time the men’s final will kickoff), while the ‘home’ team, El-Kanemi Warriors, will train from 5.00 p.m.   

The scheduling for training sessions conforms to international best practices.   

The NFF said tickets for the games are being sold on line, adding that while the popular side tickets go forN200, the VIP tickets are being sold for N2,000 each. 

Tomorrow’s grand finale at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on the Lagos Waterfront will see Naija Ratels FC of Abuja, a club founded only five years ago, take on eight-time champions, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt in the women’s championship match, while the men’s final involves El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Abia Warriors of Umuahia. 

Among dignitaries expected at the finals are Sports Development Minister, John Enoh, and NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau.
