My imagination is my biggest contributor – Ostin Stylez

Nigerian Singer, Ostin Stylez real name Augustine Moses talks about his musical career, challenges , inspirations , recent project and the rise of the Afrobeats music genre.

The Kaduna Born singer , living in Lagos Nigeria started writing music and performing while in high school at Sacred heart college Ibadan, Oyo state.


The versatile singer revealed that he picked interest in doing music professionally when he bought his car and moved to Lekki, Lagos. He disclosed that he fell into depression and realized he wasn’t happy or perhaps satisfied till he got back into the studio.

Speaking about the kind of genre of music he does, he said in his words ;

“I don’t want to limit my creativity, but am a Nigerian, so Afro is the basis but I am free to swing it, free to pop it, free to jazz it, rnb it even, rock and roll it.”

The multitalented singer speaking about his recently projects, he said he had so far released 8 singles and he’s currently promoting “missing your bum “ and gearing to shoot a music video for “I will Stay” featuring Jerry Omole , a song which is a mix of Jazz , dancehall , poetry and Afro. He continued that he’s also working on a new single titled “baby don’t dull me” produced by BTJ , mixed and mastered by Spencer.

While speaking about the what makes his brand different , he said;

“I am me , I worked hard to be here , built a life that can sponsor this, so I would say my character makes me different, my journey and God’s given personality, I feel free, I move free”.

Talking about the factors that have contributed to who he is today, the singer disclosed he said “my imagination is my biggest contributor “ He emphasized!

Moreover , He said he envisions the future as a music artist by helping new and upcoming music artists come to the fulfillment of their own destinies in the entertainment sector.

Ostin Stylez revealed that he recently launched his music studio “O Stylez studio”, which is a creative music and podcast content recording studio, where he recorded 90% of the 8 singles he has released so far.

Giving his input about the loss of the Grammys award by Nigerian artists to their other African counterparts , The singer said In his words ; He disclosed!

“I don’t think we lost , they needed Afrobeats Nigerian musicians to promote their awards and even played Legendary Fela’s worldwide hit “water”. Grammy needs Afrobeats more than Afrobeats needs Grammy”, so there’s no loss there when someone needs you. “

Furthermore talking about the qualities that makes an outstanding musician, the multi-faceted artist said to be an outstanding musician, one have to be able to sell uniqueness , outstanding self , communicable through melodies and words in one’s style.

The singer said he is inspired by the likes of Jesus Christ, Idowu Babalola (Datjoblessboi media) , Jurgen Klopp and everyone who follow their own path and believe in God.

In conclusion , He said his fans should enjoy good music as he promised to stay around the corner for a very long time in the music scene . He also urged everyone to go stream his songs released across all music streaming platforms worldwide.
