Afrobeats sensation Shaddy Jay has extended his philanthropic efforts by providing educational support to two undergraduate fans.
The multi-award-winning artist, renowned not only for his musical talent but also for his generosity, announced via his official social media channels on Saturday morning that he would be granting 50,000 naira each to two deserving students. He invited his fans, known as “Jaysians,” to share in the comments section how the funds would aid their educational pursuits.
By Sunday morning, the JMW team selected the recipients: Love Effiong Okon, a student at the College of Health Technology in Calabar, Cross River State, and Promise Isaac James, a final-year student at Akwa Ibom State University. Both students have already received their grants.
Following the success of his debut EP “Shades of Jay” released in May 2023, which topped various charts, Shaddy Jay has committed to furthering his support for students, pledging to reach out to more individuals in need of educational assistance.
