LP offers free medical care in lfako-ljaiye


The Labour Party (LP) has embarked on free health treatment for lfako-ljaiye community in Lagos to reduce lack of access to healthcare and untimely deaths.

Chairman of the party in the community, Ajayi Olasupo Oludeye, who spoke at the event, said the gesture was in collaboration with Doctors for Peter Obi to cater for the medical health of masses in the community.

Secretary of lfako Ward Labour Party, Emily Jude, said: “Today, over 1,000 persons from different communities in the local councils have benefitted. The people were given drugs and others.”

She said that the community project aims at enlightening the people despite the poor state of primary healthcare and public hospitals. Also, the state Chairman of the party, Olukayode Salako, said: “Nigeria needs to revive the health sector and other facets of the economy to promote lifestyle and wellness of citizens.

Similarly, the State Women Leader, Titi Oworu, said the LP is using free medical treatment to help the citizens instead of the regular rallies.
