AS part of its effort to dominate the real estate industry in Nigeria, Le’ Venue Property Development Company Limited, a real estate and construction firm, has completed the registration of contractors, appointed a marketing company and a PR outfit to drive publicity for its numerous activities and projects across the country.

In a chat with the Managing Director, Jemine Adollo, it was gathered that the company would be in the United Kingdom for the Property Investor and Homebuyer Show holding at Excel Centre, London Docklands on April 17-18 to showcase its various estate developments to Nigerians in Diaspora to further encourage them to start coming back to their fatherland by taking the first step of purchasing a property in Nigeria.

The company will also be at the GRI AFRICA 2015 holding in Johannesburg, South Africa. The GRI Africa is a meeting of top level real estate executives, investors and lenders in Africa like Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Ronald Chagoury of South Energyx, the developers of Eko Atlantic, Bonang Mohale of Shell Africa, Ruth Obih of 3invest Ltd, Hakeem Ogunniran of UACN Property and Jameel Verjee of Diar Capital to name a few.

“The idea is to form an alliance with the best institutions/businesses in Africa for our eventual takeover of the Real Estate Industry in Nigeria,” said Adollo who further stated that Le ’Venue Property would sponsor a bill at the National Assembly.

He added: “It is awkward and counter-productive for the trusteeship of land to be vested in one person in the state.

“This has not helped investors to do more and needs to be changed. Our plan is to have our lawmakers take a very good look at the provisions of the Land Use Act with a view to radically amend the Act to making housing affordable for the Nigerians and to make the industry investor friendly.

“We are eager to contribute to the development of land resource in Nigeria and to effectively contribute to the economic development of the country. “Around 58 million people will move to cities in sub-Saharan Africa in the current decade, according to a report by the United Nations and Nigeria is at the heart of this urbanisation.

“Obviously there is an urgent need for more residential and commercial properties to meet up the towering increase. There is a growing middle class that needs housing to stay. We are prepared to play a significant role in satisfying this need.”
