Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested 10 suspects for offences bordering on illegal mining and criminal conspiracy at different locations in the state.
Parading the suspects yesterday, at the headquarters of the corps in Agodi, Ibadan, the Commandant, Augustine Padonu, gave the names of the suspects as: Adeoti Kolawole, 61; Oyedijo Idowu, 19; Muritala Ismailia, 39; Mohammed Muritala, 40; Ayuba Ismaila, 33; Sunday Ayoola, 49; Adeleke Sunday, 42; Olamide Ajibola, 34; Adeyemo Abbas, 39; and Numideen Aliu, 35.
He enjoined citizens to always furnish the corps or sister agencies with good information whenever they notice illegal activities in their vicinity.
He added that the suspects would be arraigned in a court of law after the conclusion of investigations.
