Idris Elba To Direct Mo Abudu’s Film

Hollywood actor, Idris Elba, is set to direct a film titled “Dust to Dreams” set in Nigeria, and produced by Mo Abudu.

The film would be featuring Seal, Nse Ikpe-Etim, and Constance Olatunde, among others.


The movie was produced by Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Films and Afreximbank.

The film explores the relationship between a mother and her teenage daughter meeting her father for the first time in Lagos.

This thrilling endeavor marks a collaboration between Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Films and Afreximbank.

Abudu shared her excitement, noting that “Dust to Dreams” holds a special place in her heart, and she’s delighted to work with such dedicated partners to bring the story to life.

“I am delighted to be working with Afreximbank and this incredibly talented team. Dust To Dreams is a story close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to bring it to life with such passionate collaborators.”

Dust To Dreams is the first notable production to come out of a co-production deal Abudu and Elba signed through their respective production companies, EbonyLife Media and Green Door Pictures, in 2023.
