Socio-Cultural group in Benin City, Edo’Okpa Youth Movement, has commended Adams Oshiomhole and the governorship candidate of the APC in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, for their intervention in the abandoned Benin-Auchi-Okene highway project, which the Federal Government has promised to complete in six months.

While commending the Federal Government, through the Minister of Works, David Umahi, the group, led by Pascal Ero, in a press briefing, yesterday, said Edo State had suffered total neglect as vehicles from the north to the South preferred going through Lokoja or Okene, to avoid the deplorable Benin-Auchi-Okene expressway, which passed through the state.

“Adams Oshiomhole and Senator Okpebholo, popularly called Akpakomiza, have just demonstrated that they can collaborate with the Federal Government to give Edo people good roads and better infrastructure.

“In this 21st century, when a governor plays politics with the lives of the people, we will also play politics with him too. We will support the APC governorship candidate so that he can work with Federal Government to repair our roads and bring developments to us at home,” Ero said.
