APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu

It’s victory well deserved, group enthuses

Director of Protocols and Events (North), All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Dr. Sanusi Gamji, has said that Bola Tinubu’s presidency will bring prosperity and development to the country.

Tinubu, the presidential candidate of APC, was declared winner of the keenly contested election, yesterday, amid alleged electoral malpractice as well as violation of the Electoral Act and the Constitution by the main opposition parties.

Gamji, who is also the Coordinator and Chairman, Data, Research and Verification of Tinubu-Shetima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council in Kogi State, said the victory came as a result of hard work, goodwill from Nigerians and God’s favour.

Expressing confidence that Tinubu will deliver on his campaign promises, he called on citizens to ensure peaceful coexistence, while praying for better, more united and prosperous Nigeria.

His words: “Today, history is made. The people have spoken with one voice; they were united in their quest for better Nigeria and we are confident that together we can overcome our numerous challenges.”

The National President of the Yoruba Welfare Group, (YWG), and the National Coordinator of the Disciples of Jagaban (DOJ) Independent Campaign Council, Abdulhakeem Alawuje, has said the victory was well-deserved. In a statement, yesterday, Alawuje noted that the victory was as a result of hard work by Tinubu and stakeholders, as well as the electorate during the election.

“The victory is not by magic, but by a dint of hardwork and commendable strategy by Tinubu and all stakeholders. This is indeed a political lesson to others. We can only thank God to sustain the process and pray that He helps Tinubu to give Good governance as promised.

“As a coordinator of a leading political group in Nigeria, Disciples of Jagaban Independent Campaign Council (DICC), I am not surprised that Tinubu won the general election. In the history of Nigeria, this is the first time a grassroots and well-rounded politician won an election in Nigeria, even with unfavourable conditions from within and outside government circles,” he said.
