Badmos bags Int’l Risk Excellence Award

For his at passionate work and activities, a Quality Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) professional, Engr. Jamiu Badmos has bagged the Mentor of the year at the International Risk Excellence Award in the UK. It also makes him the first African to receive the prestigious award which was organised by International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

Badmos who is referred to as the Jagaban of Safety in Africa comes with over 22 years practical hand-on approach, in Environmental Law, Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, IOSH Fire Safety, Business Continuity, Business Process, Enterprise Risk Management, Asset Management and ISO Management System Standards


As Executive Director, Strategy, The Safety Advocates, and founder, QHSES Leadership Academy, a prestigious and tuition-free Academy in Nigeria established to build responsible Leaders who make sustainable impacts to make the world a better place, Badmos is constantly champion the cause for a safe work environment.

The Academy is endorsed by 11 professional associations (both local and International) and Lagos State Safety Commission, the only Safety Regulatory body in Nigeria headed by Lanre Mojola.

Badmos led the first Integrated Management System Certification in the Nigerian electricity Supply Industry (NESI) in 2020 and did same for the First Government Parastatal in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa.
