The Youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will today host a “viewing party” for the semi final match between Nigerian Super Eagles and South African Bafana Bafana in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nation ( AFCON) football competition.

The event, which will be held at the APC National Secretariat in Awuse, Abuja, will start from 4pm with foods and drinks.

In a statement by APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, yesterday stated that the event aligns with the APC National Youth Strategic Plan 2024-2027, which emphasises youth engagement and national unity.

According to him, the event is open to all Nigerians irrespective of party affiliation, adding that it was important to rally support for the Nigerian team, the Super Eagles against the South African team, Bafana Bafana.

He said, “The Super Eagles symbolise the pride and unity of our nation. It is imperative for us to unite and demonstrate unwavering support for our team. This viewing party isn’t solely about football; it’s about nurturing camaraderie and national pride among our youth.

“Attendees should anticipate an electrifying atmosphere filled with camaraderie, cheers, and chants as they watch the Super Eagles in action. The event will also include refreshments, entertainment, and opportunities for networking and engagement. Together, let’s rally behind the Super Eagles and exemplify the true essence of Nigerian unity.”
