Confirming the incident, the Sector Commander of FRSC, Samuel Oyedeji, said the accident occured at about 7:30 p.m., on Sunday night when an articulated vehicle rammed into a parked Sharon Bus that is enroute Abuja with passengers.

He said the bus which was on transit, had parked at the market to buy something when the articulated vehicle, which had a brake failure, rammed into it and the bus burst into flame, leaving 13 persons dead.

Oyedeji said: “Since no hospital was ready to accept the burnt bodies, we are working with the Police and the Red Cross to see how we can give them mass burial if no relatives came for any of them.”
